YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Here are some things to think about and ways to volunteer:
- Project Reflect is a community of people working on behalf of at-risk children.
- Volunteers logged over five thousand hours of work at Project Reflect last year.
- Each volunteer hour is averaged at $13 per hour donated to the organization.
- Even one caring person can make a big difference in the life of a child.
- Volunteer opportunities include tutoring, landscape maintenance, support for enrichment activities (art, sports, etc.), maintenance work on the building and systems, preparation of food, special cleaning (such as spring cleaning), sewing, and helping with education reform efforts
- Volunteer commitments may be made by individuals – once or twice a week, as needed, or even once a year
-
Volunteer commitments may be made by groups – high school students and corporate and civic groups have done science and other projects with the children during weekdays; many church and civic groups have volunteered to do a one-time Saturday clean up and fix up day at the school campus.
